People duped by politicians
Gov. Rendell and legislatures, I am appalled that you all have the audacity to give yourselves a raise on the heels of voting “No” to raise the minimum wage for the worker in this state, which is one of the lowest in one of the most highly taxed states in this country, and also helps pay your salaries. As for using the excuse it will attract persons of a higher caliber, I hope so. You all have used the perks and loopholes to your advantage.
We the taxpayers pay your expenses when you are in Harrisburg. You all work for “we the people” of your legislative districts.
There’s a saying among politicians, “The masses are –.” I think we should remember this on election days and fire these “professional reliefers.”
We the people are the CEO’s. So wake up and smell the coffee, folks. Words won’t work, votes will.
