Steroids focus a joke
There is a war going on in Iraq that we can’t figure out how to win, and all it is doing is getting more and more people killed. Millions of people in this country cannot afford any kind of health care for themselves or their families. There remains a major problem with drugs in this country. The national debt is so high that our great-grandchildren will never live to see it go away, and there are probably a thousand other things that need the government’s attention. But all our senators and congressmen can think of to do is come up with legislation to make stiffer penalties for sports players that use steroids? I think the sports leagues can police themselves. This country has bigger problems that need attention.
One final thought. As a motorcyclist I have the choice to wear a helmet or not. Why don’t I have the choice whether or not to wear a seatbelt in an automobile? “Click it or ticket,” another place our government has its nose stuck where it doesn’t belong.
