Newtown forgotten

2 min read

Now the burnt houses are town down, because we had to get someone to intercede for them to be torn down. But you can’t have the weeds, grass and trees cut down; we will have to get someone to intercede again to get those cut down. You got grant money some time ago to tear down the burnt houses, so what happened to that money? You should of fixed our roads down here in Newtown; they are in terrible. But no, North Side needs it. You call Newtown “Harlem,” so North Side must be “Trailer Trash.” That’s why we don’t get anything done down here in Newtown. Now Brownsville is getting some more grant money to fix up North Side, like Newtown isn’t a part of Brownsville. We pay taxes and vote but get no recognition. Example of New Orleans.

You say Newtown is a commercial area. Newtown has always been residential area. I don’t know where you get that from. Election will be coming up, and you people will want us to vote, but who would we vote for? That’s why you people didn’t like John Daley because he was always trying to help Newtown. How we miss him.
