In reference to the outrageous pay and salary increases of our so-called legislators, they are a bunch of greedy parasites; so-called men who need to be removed from their greedy offices. No way are they worth the kind of money they are being paid. The general public must start going to the polls and voting them out. But the public is too lazy to vote. These politicians as incumbents have a re-election rate of 90 percent. This must be changed and term limits need to be installed. This will never happen because they won’t kill the goose that lays the golden egg. Everyone wants a government job because the jobs are under-worked and overpaid. Also, because of civil service they will never get fired.

Another abuse of taxpayer money is paying $141,000 to a district attorney. No one is worth that kind of money. Now the county’s chief assessor wants to spend more money to increase property taxes. I guess he wants a raise in pay too. Also, what has happened to Gov. Ed Rendell’s promise to reduce or eliminate these taxes? I guess he will have his hand out for a share of the proposed gambling money, even though politicians are not supposed to benefit from gambling. I would bet anything they will get their hands in it.

The last reassessment claimed that any acre of property was worth $24,000. There are a lot of property owners that would sell a lot of unusable land for that price. Also, the local school superintendents who are being paid in excess of $100,000 are not worth that kind of money and this is part of the reason our school taxes are to high.

Politicians have no integrity or self-respect. If all the hot air generated by them could be bottled we would have no energy crisis. Again, I urge the people to get out and vote against these greedy parasites and send them packing.
