Pay raise remains intact

1 min read

The news recently showed our Gov. Rendell at his heart-felt best reminding us of Pennsylvania’s customary largesse when catastrophe strikes as Katrina has done. Our governor looked so earnest that I thought he is ready to tell us that he and DeWeese and Perzel had met for a heart-to-heart and had committed themselves to tell their legislators and senators that they had decided to transfer this infamous pay-increase, en toto, over to the Red Cross and other agencies struggling to relieve the suffering, particularly in New Orleans, caused by Katrina.

But Gov. Rendell, still earnest and heart-felt, concluded by reminding us again that Pennsylvania will, as always, respond with our big-hearts to the calls for help from the Gulf Coast.

The infamous pay-increase was not mentioned.
