Stop the ‘Wrecking Ball Five’
Mr. Harry Kaufman and Mrs. Nancy Herring, Susan Clay, Tammy Boyle and Dorothy Grahek are now being dubbed “The Wrecking Ball Five.” They are the Uniontown Area school directors who are for wasting all of our monies on an outlandish project that is completely uncalled for. What’s there reasoning? They are no more dedicated to making a reasonable educational environment for our children than we (the average taxpayer) are. They have tried making it an issue that they are the only ones who know what’s best for the current students as well as future ones. We beg to differ with this kind of mindset.
It would seem that all of the pleas for any sort of sensible reasoning has so far fallen on deaf ears and gotten blank stares from the “Five.”
Please, stand up. Let them know now how you feel about this issue. I do hope what has been said or written has made some impact on you.
It seems strange that all of the gentlemen, Mr.’s Bill Rittenhouse, Ken Meadows, Ronald Machesky and Lloyd Williams have voted no on this project. The ladies of the board have fallen in line with Kaufman. What’s wrong with this picture? I’ve been scratching my head over this for quite some time now.
The only thing I can come up with is the above-mentioned male directors are more responsible in handling money – theirs and ours. Thanks for standing your ground, gentlemen.
