From her mind’s windmill

Things I wonder: Why the five Uniontown school board members in favor of building a “Taj Mahal” will not answer questions posed to them by taxpayers?

Why people who oppose a project won’t speak up about their opposition?

Why some get an idea and try to push it forward regardless of the consequences to the general public? Could there be a selfish motive there?

Why are students doing well academically even though they are not in a large, fancy building?

Why would the school board rehire the same architect and overseer who made such a debacle of building Marclay School?

Does Uniontown High School need a new $10 million gym?

Will having a food court instead of a cafeteria make for better students? Is it better to have one new “Taj Mahal” of a high school and a run down Ben Franklin and Lafayette buildings with no money to renovate them?

Where do the five school board members think the $8 million or more dollars needed for the new building will come from, if not from new taxes?

Can the residents of the Uniontown Area School District afford to pay any more taxes?

I wonder …
