GOP: gut swelled with corruption, lies
This letter is in response to a letter published Aug. 20. In his verbal rant, John Walls has shown the terrible anxiety of the radical right. The Bush administration has exposed a soft, white, underbelly for the Democrats. All that remains is for the voters to stick a fork in it just before Thanksgiving. It is a gut swelled with corruption, greed, lies, and the biggest blunder in the 230 years since the Declaration of Independence was endorsed, first in ink, then in the blood of patriots. Many of the men that forged this American manifesto would swing from the king’s gallows for treason. Then, as is now, about one-third of the populace remained loyal to King George. In your tirade against all who don’t see things as you do, Mr. Walls, I hear their vicious voices shrieking, “Hang the traitors.”
In the war that followed our Declaration of Independence all would have been lost, and the remaining patriots hunted down and hung for treason, where it not for the French. They became our greatest allies in the effort to cast off the yoke of tyranny. Some fourscore and seven years later it was the aid of the French that preserved our Union.
You thank God for George W. Bush. I say, “Viva La France.” Take heart, Mr. Walls, for come this November I, too, will be yelling thank God for George Walker Bush, when the Peoples House once again become just that: For the people, by the people, of the people.
Until then, my ignorant Republican cousin, happy trails too you, and I remain the loyal opposition.
