Murtha makes reader proud
I sometimes wonder if people comprehend or really read the newspapers or listen to the news. I am referring to the letter written by Laura Hough chastising U.S. Rep. John Murtha, D-Johnstown. Evidently, Ms. Hough does not know that Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11. It seems that everyone but she knows that Bin Ladin and al Qaida were responsible for the attacks of 9-11. Yet, Bin Ladin still roams Afghanistan because the Bush administration has other goals.
Democracy is something that can not be forced upon a country. The people must want it and be willing to fight for it.
Over 2,500 Americans have been killed in Iraq and over 30,000 wounded and maimed-for what purpose? The USA has gone from the most admired nation in the world to one that is disliked by the rest of the nations in the world.
Ms. Hough, be thankful that we have a legislator who has the “guts” to speak the truth and not go along with the lies of the administration. I’m proud to be represented by Mr. Murtha instead of someone who just goes along with the propaganda coming out of Washington. So should the entire 12th Congressional District!
