Hardy thanked many times over
On behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and all the patients we serve, I would like to express our sincere thanks to Joe Hardy, Maggie Hardy Magerko, 84 Lumber Company and Nemacolin Woodlands Resort for the opportunity to be a charity partner in the 84 Lumber Classic. This fine venue brought tremendous prestige and attention to Southwestern Pennsylvania, and generated charity funds from ticket sales to enable our society to continue to fund life-saving research and patient programs. Thanks to the generosity and vision of the Hardy Family and 84 Lumber Company, over 84 charities directly benefited from their largess and we are pleased to have been included in the program. Their charitable efforts will touch the lives of thousands in the year to come. The 84 Lumber Classic provided an excellent golf tournament and directly impacted our entire region through the generosity of the Hardy Family and 84 Lumber Company.
Since its inaugural year in 2003, the 84 Lumber Classic has raised nearly $6 million for charity and 84 Lumber continues to donate in cash and materials to local, regional and national humanitarian efforts.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society deeply appreciates the generosity of 84 Lumber Company and their owners, the Hardy family, for supporting our efforts to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and multiple myeloma. Their support for the many other charities across southwestern Pennsylvania and the tri-sate area is most admirable and worthy of recognition.
Many new research advances funded by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society are bringing the Society closer to a cure for blood cancers. We thank Joe Hardy and Maggie Hardy Magerko for permitting us to be a part of the 84 Lumber Classic. It has been an honor and our pleasure to work with you and your dedicated staff on the classic.
