Hurrah for the Herald-Standard. We finally got something of interest to read beside the funnies, which to me at age 80 is the only thing I can read and not ponder the source except Trudeau. He is about as funny as a mud ball on your windshield on a rainy night. Ann Counter, thank you, thank you. She is very witty, very intelligent and very outspoken. Sure beats some of the other commentarians that you have that if they don’t say anything you wouldn’t know how dumb they are. Such as Bonnie or Charley or our own home-grown version Al, a political analyst on Clinton.

Clinton forgot an old saying: when you tell a lie you have to tell two more to cover it. Then to cover that four more, etc.

On a lighter note, we are lucky to have two women in the political scene who are for us, Angela Zimmerlink and Beverly Beal. They are on our side. They don’t think of us as cash cows.
