Gravesite thieves deserve to rot
My son, Geoff Dankovich, died on May 28, 2006. His family grieves for him daily with an unbearable sadness. Last weekend, my daughter and I, along with her husband, decorated his gravesite with a basket of silk flowers and a shepherd’s hook holding a slate tile that had been hand-painted with a pumpkin and scarecrow. His father and stepmother had already placed a grapevine wreath on the grave. The decorations were a beautiful tribute to Geoff and a reminder to us of his love for the fall season. All of it is gone – stolen most likely by someone in the area who took the items to decorate their house, or simply stolen by someone for no reason other than cruelty and a total lack of compassion for a heartbroken family.
To the person or persons who violated his grave, I hope you soon gain firsthand knowledge of the pain we endure by the experiencing the death of someone you love. Look in the mirror every ay and know that when you leave this Earth, you will be rotting in hell-which is exactly where you belong.
