Mikita asks reader for support
I would like to take this opportunity to answer a letter to the editor that appeared on Sept. 27, from Mr. Robert E. Workman. Mr. Workman, I, as you do, think that such things as lobbyist reform, transparency and the streamlining of our gargantuan state government are of the highest level of importance. You could have easily found that information out, if only you would use the contact information on the literature I left at your home.
I have talked to many people in detail about my platform. When I speak to someone, I do mention that there is a card inside the introductory letter that has several ways to find out more information and details about my platform and candidacy. I also point out that there is contact information, such as the Internet link JohnMikita.com, etc.
I would like to meet everyone and answer every question, but everyone isn’t always home. You may not know that I have been endorsed by such organizations as the NRA (it is your right to bear arms to protect life and liberty) and the PA Chamber (because I have plan to help all small business and industry grow in Pennsylvania – real growth). Moreover, I have an actual plan to eliminate property tax.
In closing, I have always fought hard to have a positive impact on the world around me. That is why I am a candidate for state legislator. My sincerest hope is that people like you, Mr. Workman, come to realize that we do need candidates with the drive, determination, faith, courage, integrity, etc. I do have those attributes, and that is why I will make a difference.
Sir, I am not cut from the same political cloth that has been smothering too many good people for far to long. That political cloth (the political machine) is what I am fighting against in this election. I am fighting to stop that dark, gray political cloth from completely covering your community, the 51 District, and Fayette County for the next 35 years.
Why don’t you join me?
John Mikita, Republican candidate
51st Legislative District
Uniontown
