Appalled by DeWeese criticism

2 min read

I was appalled to read the letter written by Col. Ann Drach critizing state Rep. H. William DeWeese. I was sickened by her criticism of the World War II metal ceremony. I attended and received my medal, I was proud to receive my honor for serving my country for 30 months overseas. With 400 in attendance, I believe the other veterans, along with their families, felt the same proud feeling. This event was a great success and I will have many great memories. I think this letter by Col. Drach was a political move. She needs to apologize to the veterans. If she supports another candidate she should go out and work for him.

I am very pleased with the work that Rep. DeWeese has done for the 50th District. Any time a community or organization is in need of money, he finds a way to help them.

His help goes beyond Greene County to include Masontown, Fredericktown and Centerville. The district has had additional funding available due to DeWeese’s seniority. Without this seniority the 50th District would struggle to see projects completed.

The voters of the 50th District need to support DeWeese and continue to work with him on successful projects.
