Stop berating DeWeese
In a recent column, Paul Sunyak asked a lot of questions of area veterans. As one of the 400 veterans who attended state Rep. Bill DeWeese’s recent ceremony honoring his colleagues who served in the military, I say, “Thanks Bill. That was a great event and I appreciate your efforts on our behalf. You are definitely one of us.”
As to Sunyak, I ask the following question: Which branch of service did you serve? I venture to guess that you didn’t serve. In which case, stop berating DeWeese, who at least took three years out of his life to defend our country.
DeWeese is a Marine Corps veteran and he truly appreciates other veterans for their service.
