Make sure to get out and vote

3 min read

So “we the people” of Fayette County must make choices this election. Once again: Do we vote for a Democrat or a Republican? Let’s look at our choices, as most people running for these offices talk the same talk politicians talked 30 years ago. Why? Because “we the people” let them! If you heard one lie, you heard them all. At the end of the day, they drink from the same water bowl. You have some good Republicans and bad ones. You have good Democrats and bad Democrats. The problem is, you have Republicans that are Republicans only when it benefits them to be, and Democrats that are only Democrats when it benefits them to be. That is the way they keep the power. They have us blaming each other and at the same time, they are scratching each other’s backs and smoking Cuban cigars in some back room that “we the tax payers” paid for.

They talk about all the money they bring back to Fayette County. People, it is your tax dollars and this is their job. I wonder why they can bring money back for everything under the sun, but they can’t give us any true property tax reform.

People, it is real easy to figure out. They are using tax dollars to stay in power. They are using our tax dollars for commercials and mail flyers, which they use to tell our veterans and seniors that they are working hard for them. The truth is most of these politicians live in a world of their own. They have not the slightest idea of what it is like to work for a living. They like the free cars, the free medical benefits, free haircuts, free gym, a big pension, and a lot more for a part-time job.

People, politics is all about lies. These people must read books on lies, because they do enough of it. They want you to think you can hide a horse with a saddle or put perfume on a hog to cover up the smell. Remember, if it smells bad it is bad – and if it sounds to good to be true, it is a lie. It will be just another way to take your money.

The next time any of you talk to a politician, ask them if they believe in the Pennsylvania Constitution. Most politicians don’t and if he tells you that he does, move away fast because lighting will strike. They expect you and I to abide by the constitution, but they walk on our constitution on a daily basis for their own self-interest. So remember, abide by the constitution, or you will end up in the poky eating a bologna sandwich.

So, go and vote, because that is one of the only rights they can’t take away from us.
