‘The Bill & Timmy Puppet Show’?
I felt compelled to write this letter since the 50th and 51st Legislative Districts affect Fayette County, where I am a resident. I am somewhat confused, as are many other Fayette Countians. Prior to the May primary election, Tim Mahoney stated in the Herald-Standard paper, on the front-page article April 29, and on HSTV’s “Candidate Forum,” that if elected he would not support or vote for state Rep. Bill DeWeese for his leadership position.
He also stated something in the way of he would not be controlled by Bill DeWeese or be any part of DeWeese’s regime in Harrisburg. One of the quotes from Tim in the paper was, “I won’t be your puppet on a string” (referring to Bill DeWeese).
Mahoney recently had a party. Guess who was on the special guest list? None other than the infamous Bill DeWeese. The Same Bill DeWeese that spearheaded the middle-of-the-night pay raise. Looks like Bill’s strings have already become attached. It also looks like it might be the beginning of a new show, “The Bill and Timmy Puppet Show.”
Mahoney reportedly came out with big guns against Bill DeWeese and all legislators who supported the midnight hour pay raise, better known as the massacre of the taxpayers. I wonder, was that just a smokescreen to gather votes?
Has Mahoney let bygones be bygones? Rumor has it that at every political function Tim and Bill have been seen “hand-in-hand.”
Is Bill DeWeese just lining his ducks up, so he can keep his so called “powerful seat” – or is it “power over you seat” – that has done nothing for Southwestern Pennsylvania?
In conclusion, I would like to say, Bill DeWeese and Tim Mahoney, don’t try to dig yourselves out of this hole, because you can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all the time. You both may think that the people are blind, but shouldn’t you both come out of the closet you have been hiding in and stop the backroom politics?
Be honest to the people about your new bond. Is it really new?
