The Uniontown Area School Board directors should be held accountable for their actions. No matter how hard we batter at the door, they won’t let us in – sad, very sad. Why what we want doesn’t seem to interest them in the least boggles my mind. Wouldn’t it be to their benefit to have the district parents and taxpayers approving their school project? We want to be part of the solution, not the problem as they seem to perceive us. Is it really prudent to keep fattening up Altman and Altman’s bank account? I believe people should be compensated for their efforts, but isn’t it ridiculous that the directors keep handing that firm millions of dollars and so far we have nothing to show for that money? I’m afraid that all of the project monies are being pilfered away. When things are all said and done, there will be less funds to start the project, let alone to finish it. This makes no sense what so ever. I know businesses and individuals can’t operate in this manner.

Thanks to Bill Rittenhouse, Ken Meadows and Lloyd Williams for sticking to their guns. Now if a few more would stand up and be counted, we could all win. The high school project could be completed and Lafayette and Ben Franklin could be taken care of, too. Funds should be available to repair any school in the district whenever needed.

To all who are spearheading this opposition to the directors, please know that your efforts are greatly appreciated by the community. I know you are all determined to bring a sane and sensible conclusion to this matter.

There’s strength in numbers and I think we are definitely filling up the ranks. Will you speak up and join us?
