Why are we still in Iraq?
This Memorial Day, May 2007 is a very somber holiday (not excluding other wars), as the body count grows daily in Iraq. In May, we lost over 80 soldiers and Mr. Bush and Co. have no plans for terminating this war. What is the reason the politicians cannot come to a plan to end this war. Will it make a difference which party is in power? We are spending billions and the conflict is progressing.
Why can’t we leave Iraq? What have we gained thus far, and this war goes on and the bigwigs sit idly by and do nothing.
What is the reason for this war to continue? We know if we went to war to kill Saddam- he was not responsible for 9/11. Mr. Bush promised to capture Bin Laden a few years ago and failed.
Abortion is wrong, these soldiers are comparable to being aborted; they never had a chance to live, to see their children grow.
I realize we have an all-volunteer military, and I know our soldiers are the best, but give us a reason why we are in Iraq.
