Business lineage explained

1 min read

Your article on July 25 regarding Edenfield Stages and its current dispute with the county omits information that results in misleading the reader. This once-great company, while in existence for over 69 years, has not been managed by any members of the Edenfield family since 2002. At that time the company was sold to Donald D. Kissell. To say that it is a “family run” company indicates that the former owners, operators, and brothers, Wayne and Marling “Buck” Edenfield, are still involved in decisions that have let the company get to this juncture.

Most certainly, if Edenfield Stages were still managed or controlled by any family members, the business would not be in arrears to the government, nor would the buses be in what a current employee calls “a sad state.”
