Lack of coverage criticized

2 min read

I have been reading your editorial page for some time and have been tempted to respond a number of times. I feel that the time has come. I was again disappointed this year for your total lack of coverage of annual March for Life on Tuesday Jan. 22.

This is the third year in a row you (and the rest of the mainstream media) chose not to publish any accounts of that event. I guess it goes against your liberal and anti-conservative viewpoints.

Heaven forbid that the kids that read the newspaper through your NIE program might see something moral and uplifting like the thousands of young people who traveled to Washington, D.C., to protest the slaughter of thousands of babies through abortion.

But boy let their be a gay pride march or some other sick event in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia or San Francisco and you make sure it gets plenty of coverage.

Let’s see, in Wednesday’s A3 section there was a story about two people arrested in Philadelphia, and on B6 you devoted a third of a page to some actor found dead in his room.

I guess we all can see where you priorities are. Oh, I’m sure you will come up with some excuse, and you’ll probably stick something in a future edition to appease your subscribers, but the Bible says, “You shall know them by their fruits” (Matt 7:16).
