Expressway job poorly done
Who is in charge of giving the OK for the quality of the work being done on the expressway project? I hope they reject the payment for the connector road from Route 40 at the top of the hill above the Brownsville Drive-In to the old dead-end four-lane going east from Brownsville.
The section that hooks to Route 40 has dips, high spots, and is made up of patch sections.
The road to the old dead-end four-lane seems to be made up of three separate roads with “wiggly” cracks joining them together.
There are also cutout patches in various places.
Isn’t it a fact that when there is a crack or opening on a surface, water gets in the openings, freezes, then pushes the surface up and apart?
Don’t you think the taxpayers should get a new road that might last more than a winter or two before it starts to fall apart?
