The new connector road between Route 51 and Route 40 is not the Mon Valley/Fayette Expressway. Northgate, as it is named, does have a speed limit of 35 mph. In the short time that this new road has been open there have been two accidents. The latest one very sadly resulted in the loss of life for a young 20-year-old man. We all know that reducing our speed helps decrease fuel consumption, more importantly, it saves lives. That life could be your own.
