Here’s three things your tax preparer will not tell you: 1. There’s another America, an Amerika whose mammoth heels grinds and grinds crushing out hope, crushing out the wine of perennial human dreams. Who is it that’s threshing hearts for His harvest of immensity? Whose talons are sharp as scalpels and piercing, gathering in crops of disenchanted souls? Who?

2. The tyrant sifts, sifts, sifts through every nation…and then, having harvested what He wants of us, then scatters the chaff into the winds from His gigantic threshing machinery.

3. Ruthless and terrible the tyrant sits back in His supremely confident complacency…and He grins, as He grinds, and grinds, and grinds His harvest of immensity.
