Slam dunk
Pittsburgh to get NCAA tourney Pittsburgh has become a hot spot for basketball, and not just because of the interest generated by Pitt, Duquesne and Robert Morris.
The NCAA also likes what it sees here. On Monday, it announced that the under-construction Consol Energy Center will be the site for first- and second-round NCAA men’s basketball tournament games on March 15 and 17, 2012.
Duquesne University will be the host school for the tournament, as it was when it was held here in 1997 and 2002. Congratulations to everyone at the school for making this possible.
The next step is to take it to the next level and host a semi-final round. Go for it.
