Ambrosini called best candidate in race
By Vicki Hartsek
I have always been a loyal Democrat and supported our party and elected officials. During the last 12 years I have been very active in many ways to contribute to having good government including volunteering in many campaigns for worthy candidates as well as my own.
I was grateful and humbled when 8,240 of my fellow citizens elected me to represent Fayette County on the Pennsylvania State Committee. This encouraged me to work hard for the good of our county and its future progress. I even mentored and tutored and made friends here and across the state. Consequently it is with sad emotion that i am compelled to make this appeal.
We have to accept the fact that under the administrations of Fayette County commissioners Vince Vicites and Vince Zapatosky, Fayette County has deteriorated to the lowest level in our history. Out of the 67 counties in Pennsylvania, we are one of the bottom three. Other statistical trends such as crime, poverty, favoritism, wasted money, etc. are no longer tolerable.
Some citizens have been intimidated by these two and are hesitant to confront them. I for one am tired of having my intelligence insulted. I know a lot of other people who know they are being conned by some of the antics of these commissioners.
After 16 years of Vicites, he has worn out his welcome and exhausted his credibility. Another term of them would anchor us to the bottom three. I have never asked my supporters and those who have voted and worked along side of me in politics to address a more urgent election.
Fortunately, we have found the right candidate with the courage to stand up to the “Vinces” with all their money and cronies under their control.
Mr. Al Ambrosini worked in an executive position for 30 years at Allegheny Power. He has the experience in business, management, industry and has the leadership to bring us back from the hole we are in. His record of accomplishments is excellent. Incidentally, he is an elected Democrat Committee man in Dunbar Township. I implore everyone to turn out to vote for progress, honesty, and end our stagnation.
