The choice is yours
I am writing this response detailing my thoughts on the reason why the prison in German Township was cancelled. Also what is the real reason for our population drop that, like the Herald-Standard explained in its editorial, is second to Allegheny County in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Gov. Tom Corbett possesses the highest social Christian values, moral values, ethics, integrity, decency values, in my opinion, than any public official throughout our commonwealth if not the country. Corbett is adamantly opposed to any public official who is serving the people who possesses or practices the same value as the devil himself. Corbett adamantly is of the opinion that the people deserve far better of the values than some of our public officials possess and/or practice.
I have been told by members of communities outside of Fayette County that people here don’t realize that a community with bad public officials has the worst image that any community could possibly possess.
Some of these public official I attest to you would not survive for a split second in other communities throughout the country. These communities very quickly dispose of their bad public officials. Their communities move on to better times. These communities will not permit these bad public officials to further tarnish their image.
Therefore, no responsible industry will ever have a desire to locate in our community of Fayette County with our present mentality.
Our youth, as a result of no jobs, are forced to go other places for jobs including our adult residents who lose their jobs. They sell their homes, pick up and move away to other communities.
Do you believe for a moment that the budget is to blame for the loss of a prison, or that we simply do not need a prison? You all have to be more intelligent than to accept this horrible, terrible justification. I will never accept this justification.
I have said many times before: “Ask not what your community can do for you, but ask what you can do for your community.”
It is your choice that commands the community’s destiny. Your choice does ultimately affect you as an individual and as a family.
Think for a moment: Are you tired or frustrated of barely living from payday to payday or living on unemployment or on welfare or in fact having no jobs to go to or living with no income? Well this is a part of the effect I am talking about.
So in essence your vote does count. We must get rid of our bad public officials. Then, the community will have its prison and the jobs that will accompany it. And it will foster into a vibrant prosperous community with industry knocking at our door with tourists crowding our streets to purchase our wares. Our eateries will be crowded, and we’ll have full tour buses, visiting the historical heritage that we so proudly and dearly possess.
The choice is yours.
We as members of the community have to come to step into reality to and admit that serious problems exist her that adversely affect the community’s growth and future prosperity. We as members of the community have to be part of the solution, rather than be part of the problem.
