Local duo praised
I am writing this letter to thank James Rosenburg of Brownsville and Marigrace Butela, tax collector for Dunbar Township for all their efforts and help in keeping big industries from destroying our properties and taking away our landowner rights.
A company called Peregrine wants permission from the public utility commission to be listed as a utility company so they can claim eminent domain and lay their pipelines all over Fayette County whether we like it or not. So, if this company gets its way, you, the property owner, will not have a say in the matter.
Rumor has it that within a few years our county will be turned into nothing but massive pipelines, gas compressor stations and gas wells. If this is true, who will even want to live here? How will we even breath? They will offer you pennies for your home and land. Sadly, you will have no choice but to accept it.
Thanks go out to Jim and Marigrace for their protest against such practice. Marigrace had requested in her protest that a public meeting be scheduled with the PUC present. Her request was granted. It’s wonderful to know that there are people here in Fayette County who truly care about their community. Keep up the good work.
I know Marigrace personally, but I have never met James although I have read his articles in the newspaper. Thank you both for taking all your time and effort in trying to keep our families and children safe.
I also would like to thank everyone who is in some way helping in this effort. I pray that you succeed! God bless you all.
