Shuster defended
I completely disagree with the letter to the editor by Sue Blass last week. U.S. Rep. Bill Shuster, R-Hollidaysburg is a solid conservative who has acted to protect jobs, small businesses and the right to life. He opposed Obamacare and forcing religious organizations to cover the cost of contraceptives.
He also opposes taxpayer funding of abortion through Obamacare and Planned Parenthood.
Bill Shuster knows that higher taxes are not the answer and that the government needs to stop spending so much. Low taxes are good for small businesses and allow them to hire more people instead of sending more money to Washington to be spent on who knows what.
The EPA is totally out of control and is doing everything they can to kill coal. Bill Shuster has been a long time advocate for coal and our mining jobs. We need people like Shuster who will work to protect the industry and jobs in our area and reign in the EPA. His Democratic challenger, Karen Ramsburg, has no interest in standing up to the EPA or the administration and will do nothing to stop the war on coal and protect jobs.
I urge you to support a proven leader that will continue to work for our area — vote for Congressman Bill Shuster this Nov. 6.
