Ms. Blanche needs help
I believe when God closes one door he opens another. But what door is he going to open for Ms. Blanche?
I had the honor of meeting this very sweet elderly lady this morning who was throwing what appeared to be garbage in a huge waste bin in front of her restaurant, which happens to be a “soup kitchen” for the Uniontown area.
It seems a few weeks/months ago, copper wiring/tubing was stolen from her soup kitchen, which was being rented from a landlord. I’m surprised that the building passed health code inspections. Instead of replacing the tubing, which I’m sure is expensive, he gives her an eviction notice.
This lady is a part of the community who helps the disenfranchised, the homeless, the hungry when no one else will. This lady has had awards and plaques bestowed upon her in recognition of the work she does, and she’s dumping her life’s work in a huge trash bin by herself.
She’s not looking for a handout. She’s looking for a hand up.
Is there anyone who cares about this unfortunate person? Maybe if you have a building that isn’t too expensive to rent to her (she receives donations) so she can continue feeding the people that we turn our heads and pretend like we don’t see starving on our streets.
I ask for at least an interview to get this lady’s story on the street so someone can help her to help the needy.
