Sheriff cricitized
Does the sheriff care what the majority of Fayette County residents want?
In the Sunday paper we see that Fayette County Sheriff Gary Brownfield has joined the Fayette fascists and got a certificate for his pledge to this group of tea partiers to oppose any legislation that would require a background check or restrict the sale of guns at the neighborhood gun show.
You may ask why terrorists, felons or psychopaths should need a background check. Could it be that our sheriff believes that terrorists, felons and psychopaths should not be restricted from buying guns?
Is the endorsement of the tea party fascists more important than the protection and safety of children, shopkeepers, gas station attendants and other victims of terrorists, felons and psychopaths?
Another question that needs asked. Why is the sheriff who is duly elected to serve all the people of Fayette County signing a pledge to appease a small group of extremists? Does this pledge to an outside group violate the sheriff’s oath to serve all the people of Fayette County?
