The A&E network recently suspended Phil Robertson indefinitely from the show “Duck Dynasty’ afin an interview with GQ Magazine. Do you think the A&E network made the right choice suspending Robertson from the popular show or do you think the network overreacted?

“They shouldn’t have asked if they didn’t want him to answer.”

“GQ asked the question! For God’s sake!”

“It’s not right.”

“Freedom of speech regardless if you agree with what he says or not. No A&E shouldn’t have fired him for stating his beliefs.”

“It’s all about ‘politically correct.”‘

“Freedom of speech, in this case, would be if he were facing jail time for what he said. What happened is he got fired, not thrown in jail. In case you didn’t notice, he also was one of those guys that thought the woman’s place is in the kitchen.”

“Big mistake.”

“Phil must be running for office or ready to sell a book on Fox.”

“For those defending Phil Robertson’s words, that is fine, believe what you want and how you want. He is allowed to have that view and voice that view. A&E is allowed to suspend, fire, keep employed, or give a raise. That is their choice. I have my problem with those who believe that calling him bigot is bashing Christianity. No its not bashing Christianity, it is bashing an archaic, 2,000 year old ideology that has survived and is now being challenged publicly.”

“Seems people are not allowed to express their opinions, or risk losing their jobs or worse. Paula Deen lost her entire business over remarks made over 20 years ago. Now, this guy is danger of losing his and his family’s show. It’s ridiculous how delicate the sensibilities of this country’s citizens have become. It’s one guy’s opinion. Who cares what he says? I do not agree with him, but, I respect his right to have his own opinions.”

“I’m sure he is happy happy happy. Now he can hunt, fish, catch a nap when he wants to while his family has to work for a living.”

“I think they went too far, because the last time I read the constitution, we has the right to free speech but now it’s like we don’t.”
