Free Badley Manning

Through Twitter, I became aware of #OpManning which is a movement sponsored by Anonymous to bring justice to the trial of Bradley Manning.

Bradley Manning is a U.S. Army Intelligence analyst who was imprisoned after leaking information to the Whistle-blower website, Wikileaks. The information leaked to Wikileaks did not raise any national security concern and served only to expose some unjust acts on behalf of a number of U.S. soldiers. According to RT News, Barack Obama has already deemed Manning guilty and the United State’s government has been withholding documents that would prove Manning’s innocence as far as aiding the enemy and leaking information that would be deemed a national security risk.

The most disturbing leak came in the form of footage of U.S. soldiers gunning down civilians from a chopper, claiming that they had weapons. Later in the video a black van pulls up and other civilians tried to pull some of the wounded civilians into the van.

There were two children in the passenger side of the van which are seen shortly before the soldiers gained permission to open fire on the van, killing the two children inside. Soldiers can be seen carrying the lifeless bodies of the children to U.S. ground vehicles. The most disturbing part of this to me is not the act itself, but the blatant cover up on behalf of our government and the harsh treatment of Bradley Manning for exposing this evil. See BradleyManning.org for more information.
