Country on edge of moral abyss

By Ron Misiewicz 3 min read

Communities across the nation joined on May 2 to observe the National Day of Prayer. We live in a critical time in history when freedom from religion advocates have ramped up their sinister cause to a fever pitch. The Biblical separation between left and right is glaringly evident, from the current Obama Administration to Ivy League academia, to the major media networks, to the entire leftist movement.

The push to transform the United States of America, under the God-man of Judeo-Christian tradition, to socialist states, under a man-God of self-destructive liberalism is in full swing.

Socialist philosophers, like Karl Marx, who believe in central-tyrannical government control, stress the importance of: 1) eliminating religion because God is an enemy of the state, which now reigns supreme, and 2) creating economic social and political chaos.

Liberals believe, ever since the first one entered the garden at the time of creation, that men are innately noble and through evolution and education can become gods without God. In this mindset, freedom means absence of law and liberty means license, thus the desecration of the sacrament of marriage and disregard for the sanity of human life in the womb. All for political gain and motivated by lust for power.

Socialist/liberal Barrack Hussein Obama is a radical disciple of both errant philosophies. Couple that with his disdain for the U.S. Constitution, because it contains too many negatives that limit what government can do, and you have an ego-centric community organizer, constantly campaigning for a new block of voters who are being deceived by his snake-oil sales pitch, leading us blindly down the path of internal decay.

Our only hope, as in ages past, is to first of all have dynamos of prayer, those of us who still live in a God-centered, three-dimensional world of faith; heaven, earth and hell, lifting our voices in unity against the forces of evil. And second, since “here on earth, God’s work must truly be our own” (J.F.K.), a conservative political party courageous enough to make a sharp right turn and look up toward heaven. Catholic-in-name-only politicians like Biden and Pelosi and all, on both sides of the aisle, would be well advised to reconsider the discarded Christian practice of examination of conscience and the sacrament of confession.

Time is of the essence! Forget the fiscal cliff, also brought about by spiritual disorder. We are standing at the edge of a moral abyss. Oremus!! God love you all.
