Fayette County and Wharton Township will each get 2 percent of revenues from the slot machines and one percent of revenues from table games at the Nemacolin Woodlands’ Lady Luck Casino. It’s been estimated that the county and township would each get about $500,000 in the first full year, rising to about $1.2 by 2015 and $2 million by 2016. What do you think the money should be spent on?

“Improvement to education and technology in public schools.”

“More daycare funding to help people with all these kids get to be able to work without having to work a second full-time job just to pay the daycare bill then that creates more jobs for the daycare centers.”

“Roads.”

“Property taxes.”

“Every city. borough and township should get some for road work along with Fayette County fire departments since are volunteer fire departments.”

“We could come up with a thousand valid ways to spend the money but its not up to us.”

“Roads all over Fayette County.”

“Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.”

“This is just another way for the county to take our money without forcing you to give it to them.”

“The ferry.”

“It’s not gonna benefit us poor people that’s for sure. Money goes to money. It doesn’t matter what any of us think it should be spent on cause they already have it spent I’m sure. Our voices don’t matter.”

“Widen the Roads, reduce property taxes and provide affordable housing for those who are going to work for pennies at the casino.”

“Fix all the potholes!”

“Roads and education!”

“Property tax relief and city water to acme.”

“You have to think the county will find lots of way to spend the money for the greater good of the community. If they don’t then shame on us because we need to keep an eye on them. But what is Wharton Township going to spend the money on? Why do they go so much of this money?
