Who do you blame the most for the government shutdown? Are President Obama and Senate Democrats mostly to blame, or is it the fault of House Republicans. Who do you think should compromise the most to get a deal so the government can get back up and working? Do you think a compromise could or should be reached?

“Maybe if people knew more about the Affordable Care Act, they would have a different point of view. Most middle-class insurance rates are going to go up to pay for those who can’t afford it. How is that affordable? That is more like ‘welfare health care.’ There is a lot of other stuff in the ‘act’ that has nothing to do with health care. Why should people be fined if they don’t want it? A lot of people are too blind and vote ‘by my party regardless of the outcome.’ Take off your blinders, people.”

‘Our elected officials, regardless of their party, don’t want this ‘health care’ for themselves, not even Obama. Why do you think that is? These are the people who vote themselves vacations and pay raises whenever they feel like it. If this program was so great, these elected officials would be the first in line! By the way, for all you liberal cronies, I am not a tea partier, just a conservative watching our great country going down the toilet. I’m a retired USAF, who has served his country and has a say in this matter and has never had the chance to vote himself a pay raise!”

“The GOP is so afraid that Obamacare will be successful that they are desperate to prevent its implementation. Since everyone wants to drag their military service into the discussion, I am a veteran and the daughter of another. I believe conservatism is wrong for this country in every way, shape and form. Republicans love to hide behind veterans.”

“Not ‘dragging’ my military service into anything. Served and proud of it! Not something a lot of people are willing to do. Didn’t serve for the money, because as you know the pay wasn’t great. I went in after the draft, totally volunteered. Stayed in over 20 years because of the people you meet and wanted to be around. As far as Republicans hiding behind me, every time I turn around real fast, there is no body there. But I can feel the Democrats stabbing me in the back as they’re trying to strip away my hard earned benefits! “

“Doesn’t the 28th Amendment state that Congress shall pass no law that applies to the people and not Congress? So isn’t this breaking the law? Can I choose which laws I want to break?”
