Columnist defended
After reading Ms. Vozel’s article last Sunday, I knew the tea party attack dogs would soon be out to discredit her.
Imagine my surprise this Sunday to see the article from David Show. His article really just rants at her for her opinion, while being short on facts and long on his or his party’s opinion.
He is dead wrong on Obamacare. It is the law and he and his party are going to have to live with that. It was passed by congress, signed into law by the president, and upheld by our politicized Supreme Court. It is the law.
The tea party faction and the Republican Party are fully at fault for shutting down the government to kill Obamacare. His statement that “the Republicans have sent bill after bill to the senate” is also wrong, not one clean bill was sent.
I could also get long winded about all the other misrepresentations, but will just say that if the Republicans didn’t shut down the government, those problems would never have occurred.
John McCain said it best when he said, “[the administration] wouldn’t have had the opportunity to handle it that way if we had not shut down the government on a fools errand that we were not going to accomplish.”
Congress owes it to the American people to send a clean bill now to end the games that they are playing with their constituents livelihoods. The citizens deserve a sane functioning government, not tea bags and hate.
