Is Pennsylvania’s Gov. Tom Corbett “political poison”? According to a recent editorial in the York Daily Record, the governor’s chances of re-election next year are looking grim, with an approval rating of only 17 percent, and an inability to pass even bipartisan legislation like the privatization of liquor stores or a transportation bill. Are you happy with Gov. Corbett’s performance? Do you plan to vote him out in 2014?

“He attempted to outsource the Pennsylvania Lottery to a British company. Not only was he giving up one of the state’s best revenue generators for upfront cash, but it wasn’t even to an American company. He was involved in the Sandusky cover-up, but, although that is disturbing, it has nothing to do with his political term. Cuts to education (yet no cuts in pay for elected officials, of course) are killing our teachers and schools. I was against this man from the second he started campaigning, and I was right.”

“You bet we plan to vote him out!”

“United States needs to clean the house out! Get rid of all of them.”

“Yes, we have to do what’s right, no matter what the polls say. He is a good governor.”

“I’m not sure what you are looking at, but he is not a good governor. He has cut education every budget and taken money from big companies. He’s not the worst, but he’s not good either.”

“He’s had more than 3 strikes … He’s out.”

“Vote for him? NOT!”

“Corbett has been a gift to the Democrats, who also are in the minority in both houses. If they cannot defeat a disaster like Corbett, and maybe even retake the House, then they might as well pack it in.”

“After the experience with this Democratic president, Corbett or any non-Democrat has my vote .”

“I’m waiting to see who the Democrats nominate to run against him. It could be someone very good, or it could be someone who will be very bad. We’ll know who’s running after next spring’s primary.”
