It’s time for Halloween again. How worried are you about taking your kids trick-or-treating? Are things getting too scary out there? Overall, do you think people make too big of a deal about Halloween, or are people too critical of it?
“People are making them afraid of everything these days. That’s the big problem with kids now. They’re scared of their own shadows. Parents are turning their kids into big sissies.”
“That’s simply not true. My kids aren’t sissies. We teach them what Halloween is all about and that it’s Satan’s day. We believe in GOD, and we worship him, not the devil.”
“LOL. It’s all in what you want to make it. If you want to make it about the devil and all Hallow’s Eve and witches and cauldrons, that’s your choice. I choose to make it about dressing up, trick-or-treating, carving pumpkins and watching scary movies. We aren’t sacrificing any cats over here or anything, lol … just enjoying the make believe of it all and making happy memories.”
“We always went to houses where we knew the people. That cut down on a lot of the problems.”
“By reading the comments, it’s easy to spy which have children and which are still living in mom’s basement.”
“How can dressing up in a costume be worshipping the devil?”
“We used to have so much fun going out trick-or-treating. We never hurt anyone, and no one ever hurt us. Even with our kids, we had a lot of fun. We organized our neighborhood, and everyone had a ball, including kids from outside the neighborhood. Everyone was welcome. Aren’t kids allowed to have fun these days?”
“Halloween is definitely something left over from the past and should be done away with. There are so many problems with everything associated with Halloween that it should simply be abolished.”
“Abolish Halloween? That’s the problem with this country. They want to take all the fun out of life. You have to be careful, but there really aren’t all that many problems with Halloween.”
