The Fayette County Flag Committee and United Veterans of Fayette County would like everyone to know that we have been busy in our efforts to complete the project at the Uniontown Mall site where we raised our huge flag last year on Veterans Day.

 Many of you have ordered the engraved bricks that will be installed at that location, and we wish to assure you that we are determined to complete the project and place the stones.

The flag and its replacement flag have been subject to deterioration due to wind and weather and has been replaced and repaired several times in the past year.

We have been advised that we may be backed by grant money and although we wanted to make more progress, grants are not finalized quickly. The people working on this project, who are not retirees, have work to do at their places of employment.
