All for voter ID
I would like to comment on two issues that the Herald-Standard has published views on many times.
1. Abortion. I’m against it except in case of rape and life-threatening situations. However, for those who callously brush it aside as nothing, how do we square with the double murder statutes? When an expectant mother is slain? If it’s murder, then isn’t it murder in an abortion, regardless of the state of gestation?
2. Voter ID. I’m a life-long registered Democrat, and I find it insulting to say Democrats are against voter ID. Where are those against voter ID coming from? Are they coming from caves?
It’s hard to believe that anyone living in the 21st century has no ID when it is required by more and more businesses. If fraud didn’t exist then why do businesses need ID?
Democrats are doing anything to defeat the honorable Gov. Corbett or anyone on his team.
The founding fathers felt the need for two parties to keep watch on the other not to undermine the other team over issues that should strengthen our integrity. Besides, it costs nothing to get a photo ID, and those who are shut in and qualify for absentee ballots are basically exempt.
