Debate needed
It took me a week to finally find out, but, after no response to several inquiries, I was recently informed by the Fike campaign that there will be no public debate between the two candidates for the 32nd Senatorial District.
State Rep. Deberah Kula, D-North Union Township, did not respond to either my email or voice message. I am aware that the two candidates had a sit down with the Herald-Standard’s editorial board, but that is hardly the same as a public debate.
Sending out one-sided campaign literature in the mail is only worthy of the circular file. As this area finally has an open seat after state Sen. Rich Kasunic held it for decades, I think it is a disservice to the voters of the 32nd District that the two candidates could not find the time to get on the stage together and respond to the public’s questions.
