Top health insurance companies told members of Congress last week that more than 80 percent of people who’ve signed up under the president’s new health care law have gone on to pay their premiums – a necessary step for the enrollment figures touted by the Obama administration to hold up. Do you think this is a sign that Obamacare is actually working or do you still think it’s a failure and should be repealed asap?
“Don’t you think calling it Obamacare is a bit biased when you could call it by it’s actual name?”
“Obamacare is a joke just like Obama himself.”
“You mean the affordable healthcare act not Obamacare. Are there things that should be changed? Yes. Are there good things in it that everyone will have to adjust and change some things? Yes. Do I believe everyone should have insurance? Yes.”
“Only because you are forced to do it. I have it. It will end up costing you more than you can afford. It is a joke just like Obama!”
“Everyone should have insurance, and like I said some of the things need to be changed.”
“What happens if 20 percent of the people who walk into Giant Eagle walk out without paying. My guess is someone gets arrested and the prices go up for the other 80 percent who actually pay.”
“Why do we call it a health care law, when it’s only insurance?. My doc does not take anyone with Obamacare.”
“How does your doctor know who has this insurance. I work in a pharmacy and didn’t know someone told me that’s what it was and it was Blue Cross/Blue Shield so I find that hard to believe.”
“See that’s the problem with the ignorance behind people who use the term “Obamacare.” They never actually looked at the AHA. If you signed up for insurance through AHA nobody but you and your insurance company knows.”
“The problem is that yes big money had ruined our ability to insure ourselves. Sky high drug costs, hospitals charging $2,000 for a room for one night, lawyers suing doctors for the smallest mistakes. None of this makes life better for us and the Affordable Healthcare Act doesn’t fix any of it. it just forces is to play in a broken system.”
