Can Cavanagh be a leader?

By S. Ray Pohaski 2 min read

Sean Cavanagh, ex-Fayette County commissioner who championed the fight against corruption in our public domain during his term of office 10 years ago, was recently quoted as saying, “we are not moving the county (Fayette County) in the right direction.”

Can Mr. Cavanagh lead Fayette County in the right direction? Our nation is slipping backward into barbarism morally while moving ahead in technological chaos which is being used by the forces of barbarism to destroy civilizations Christian values.

Can Mr. Cavanagh reverse this backwards to barbarism here in Fayette County, when all around us the forces of darkness are pulling us into the cesspool of human depravity?

Civilized life is a very delicate endeavor, requiring direct mind connection with the creator of life on earth. Does Mr Cavanagh have such a direct mind connection, or at the very least, is he trying to cultivate such a necessary relationship with God? I cannot see into the heart of any other man. Can You?

We think we know what is in our neighbor’s hearts and then we are taken aback when some secret depravity comes to our attention and we say, “who would have imagined he was capable of such a thing so cruel and inconsiderate!”

Fayette County is no different from the rest of the United States. It lacks moral leadership because its people have allowed barbarism to take our moral compass away from us and throw it in the sewerage system.

Down. the toilet went biblical guideline, The Ten Commandments, loving our lLord with all our minds, hearts and souls. Down the toilet and off into the sewage treatment plant. The whole planet is heading toward depravity, and I do not have to list the ways.

You read the ways, you see the ways on television, you are the ways of barbarism because you have lost your moral compass.

So how is Sean Cavanagh going to lead us back into the light and out of the darkness? I believe he is going to have to lead the galvanizing of all the people of God here in Fayette County. That is the role that is to be filled. That is the moral vacuum that must be filled with the light of truth, flushing away the barbarism and sending it into the sewage system from which it came crawling into the soul of America.
