Abraham supported
While I want to show support for our business associate Scott Abraham, what is most important is that he has 30 years of experience in the finance industry and he plans on filling the position of Fayette County controller in a full-time capacity.
It probably isn’t fair to taxpayers there that his opponent works a full-time teacher’s job and would likely collect the controller’s salary which is more than $50,000 in the evenings and weekends.
We out-of-towners regard Uniontown politics as “pigs at the trough” and May 19, is the day for voters to shut down the farm.
I would respect the position with higher regard than voting for a person who has a full-time job. The position should be held by someone with an appropriate background with the time to contribute to the office.
Scott is a respectable, well-versed and intelligent man with a vast history in finance. He is also promising an “open door” policy during the regular work day Monday-Friday.
Do you want to give away a generous salary to a person who plans on winging it after their day job?
