Pritchard has a plan
I want to address prison overcrowding and its contributing factors and issues. Let’s talk about those who are on probation for a drug offense. Drug addicts have no choice to abstain from his or her choice of drugs. No one can intercede to make that choice for them. When drugs are detected in someone’s system, they’re assumed to have violated their parole They’re taken before a judge who most likely will have their probation revoked and sent to jail.
This leads to the overcrowding of the jail. One possible solution to this issue would be to wait until the people on probation commit an actual criminal offense. This would definitely help the overcrowding problem at the prison.
If we don’t do something, we’ll have to build a new prison every five years. As a result of the ever-growing crime problem, there is no end to the overcrowding problem at the prison. We need more programs to deter crime such as having police respond to crimes in progress. I have developed a county-wide police force plan which I copywrited and registered as my original plan and idea.
I was a unsuccessful candidate for county sheriff. But still crime is escalating and out of sight. I’m asking the sheriff-elect to request more power and authority from the state Legislature. My plan would be implemented and put in place by April 2016.
