A 27-year-old local man was allegedly shot by a 20-year-old man in Uniontown on Thursday, and the Herald-Standard shared the news of the incident, after it happened, on Facebook and Twitter. Several people commented on the post.

“I pray that these boys just stop with this mess. Accidents and illnesses take enough of our youth. These intentional shootings and stabbings have got to stop. Kids, get back in church, and do well for the Lord.”

“I saw, and people wonder why I don’t let my kids outside. I can’t wait to move! Uniontown is horrible!”

“I wish all of this nonsense violence would stop, once and for all. People need to get their acts together and start teaching the younger generation a better way of living, or this world that we live in is just going to keep getting worse.”

“It doesn’t matter where you live. Violence and drugs are present. Things will get worse before anything gets better. Drugs have taken over society, and it’s only getting worse. Most robberies and shootings are drug-related. It’s totally out of control everywhere and not getting better.”

“They need to get all these thugs, take them off welfare and make them get a job — a REAL JOB!”

“Pray for the suspect and victim. They need prayers from all of us. They are both children of a mother and of God. Don’t judge till you really know and walked in their shoes.”

“News is only propaganda. Forcing their subliminal opinions on others. And they’re doing a good job of it; looking at all of the weak-minded, pre-judged comments here. Prayers for all families involved.”

“People are so quick to talk about these kids, yet no one tries to actually do anything to help them.”

“Violence is EVERYWHERE. If you are fortunate to live in an area where you don’t have to see this on a daily basis, then be thankful, because these types of things can happen no matter where you go! I live in Fayette County, and most people have never even heard of where I live.”
