Media should give Trump a chance

2 min read

In 1966 I was a farm boy from Grindstone I joined the Air Force. We were engaged in a war in a far distant land.

Now we are engaged in a war in another far distant land. I feel that one of the duties of the president of this country is to protect our country in any way possible.

Now we have a president who issued an executive order to deny people from certain majority Muslim countries access to the United States. Why? He wants to keep this country safe from acts of terrorism. And he was rebuked by liberal judges not once but twice. But wait a minute, the Supreme Court has spoken in one voice. Not one dissenting voice was heard. The ban will go into effect with a minor change until the courts meet for the fall session.

This Muslim hater, was welcomed by the King of Saudi Arabia along with over 50 leaders from Muslim countries. He even received the highest civilian award given by the kingdom. Some of his detractors who said that he bowed to the king. Well let’s see. Trump is 6 foot 2 inches and the king is 5 foot and 11 inches.  And the king is not in the best of health. I watched from start to finish, and I saw no bowing.

On that point, there was no coverage on ABC, CBS, or NBC. However for any news conference where some anonymous source has some alleged maybe crime against Trump all three will pre-empt any program, and the public be dammed.

Yes I think that Trump did a good job on his first overseas trip. I also feel that the mainstream media is rather biased. Now the Supreme Court of this land has ruled in his favor. This is how it should be.

He is trying to live up to his campaign promise but in this town it does two to tango.

Let us give the man a chance. He is trying to do a good job and I am afraid he can’t please everyone. Remember in every negotiation there are no winners or losers.
