DOUBLE STANDARDS ARE DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY
I have written numerous letters to this paper about God Country and freedom. The purpose of those letters were to bring us back to the things that we cherish and love and to also take a look in the mirror at ourselves concerning God and Country. These principles and symbols are what made our nation strong. Our foundation was built with solid brick that enable us to withstand attempts to destroy it. These individual blocks are gradually being removed such as: God, flag, National Anthem and our history. Remove too many blocks and the foundation will collapse.
Most of us see, hear and know what is causing our nation’s problems, but we are afraid to take a. stand or speak out. A lot of us walk around with blinders on our eyes and cotton in our ears because we don’t want to see or hear the truth. Some of us will agree that these things are wrong but when they need to take a stand and speak out, they are no where to be found. Some try to make a joke about it. What these people are doing is running from responsibility. They might as well go hide in a comer.
What do I mean about what I just said? Lets see if the shoe fits our foot.
There are so called Christians that are afraid to talk about God openly with people or to stand up and speak against those who are trying to tear down our faith. A lot of these individuals are worried about what people will say or they are concerned that they might embarrass themselves. I can hear God saying to these people, “I too was embarrassed to write your name in my book so you can’t enter my kingdom.'”
What about those that will purposely start rumors and make up lies with one thing on their mind that is to disgrace a person’s character just because they don’t like them. These type of people will blame everyone else because they are afraid to admit their mistakes or that they were wrong. You are seeing this being done to our President. “If you don’t like something blame Trump.”
What about the football fans? They admitted that it was wrong for the players to disrespect the flag and National Anthem, but a lot of them still went to the games and watched it on TV. If they would have boycotted a couple of games, the NFL would have been forced to put a stop to it. They could have at least taken the small American flag with them and waved it or worn red, white and blue clothing to let the players know that our country comes first. They were not willing to make a little sacrifice by boycotting a couple of games.
Those so called Americans are living by double standards. They will agree that it is wrong, but if they have to make a sacrifice or stand and speak out for what is right, they don’t have the time.
Talking about “Double Standard,” let’s talk about the professionals, the politicians. These individuals feel that they can do anything they want and it is okay; but if someone stands up to their corruption, they will stop at nothing to destroy that party or person. These politicians use tactics like “you scratch my back I will scratch yours’s.” This is why you see fake news, persons being paid to start riots, false rumors or stories and money exchanged for special favors. This is their way to prevent this country from moving in the right direction. They feel, if they can prevent any bills getting passed long enough, their party can regain it’s power and control. This is what a lot of people will call “propaganda.”
I have no problem with justifiable investigations.It’s needed to get rid of all the corruption in our govemment. But for God’s sake, do away with the double standard. Get to the truth by honest and fair decision making.
There are good politicians in our govemment that want to do what is right for our countr, but for those who care more for themselves instead of the the people they serve you should take that pin of the American flag off of your suit because you do not deserve to wear it.
