We are taught by those whom we look to for honest answers to our questions that we will be satisfied and rewarded if only we place our faith and trust in twelve institutions and authority symbols: The press, the church, the president of the USA, the broadcast media/television information/drug commercials, the peacekeepers known as the United Nations, our public schools and university training, human friendship based upon the “Hand Shake!, marriage vows, our system of electoral representative government, hard work and a 401K savings plan, the medical community of doctors, nurses and health care providers/insurers, the legal system.

Trusting those whom we once looked to for honest answers to our questions, that we will be satisfied and rewarded if only we place our faith and trust in the above twelve institutions and authority symbols has brought us to the circumstances of mistrust and bitter disillusion and disappointment we are living with today.

I could give you examples of how our trust in these institutions has been betrayed; but you will better be served if you go down through each of the twelve and record on paper from your own life’s experiences examples and stories of how your trust has been and continues to be betrayed.

Supreme discontent and admission of your understanding, in how you have been failed by and let down b what you were promised would bring lasting happiness and satisfaction will become the first step you will take in your quest for answers to life’s horrors and deceits. Then, after you give up lying to yourself, you may at last be granted faith in yourself and yourself alone, not looking blindly for answers where there are none. Only you can be free!
